Waterbed Sheets - King size waterbed sheets,Queen waterbed sheets
61A water bed's shape can be difficult to cover with a good fit, but luckily there are waterbed sheets. Waterbed sheets are different from others because they are made with an elastic band that surrounds the whole exterior of the bed.
The elastic band on these sheet varieties, keeps sheets from coming undone during the night, which also makes for a more restful sleep. Some of the materials used for these sheets are a blend of cotton and polyester, satin, and sateen. The cotton and polyester blend is pretty comfortable to sleep on and is gentle on your bank account.
However, the cost of Satin sheets is sky high. If you have the luxury of being able to afford satin sheets, there are some major benefits to owing them. They are quite comfortable. There is no skin irritation when a person is using silk sheets, which is especially helpful for those with sensitive skin. If you don't want to shell out the big bucks but want to feel like you are sleeping on silk, consider a synthetic alternative, like Sateen. It is much more budget-friendly but has a similar feel to Satin sheets.
King size waterbed sheets
Waterbeds retain their popularity, so options for waterbed sheets abound. If you have a king size waterbed, make sure you get the right sized sheets. For another luxurious look and feel, consider sheets made of Egyptian Cotton. If the sheets do not have a high thread count they could deteriorate quickly. That high thread will cost you quite a bit up front, but should last long enough to pay you back many times over. Your best bet is to look at department stores for these high quality sheets. If you want to bargain hunt, be careful, but you may be able to find discounts online.
For a less expensive, yet high comfort sheet, consider flannel. These, of course, will really only be used for cooler nights, such as those below freezing winter nights.
Queen waterbed sheets
Though not very common anymore, conventional queen sized waterbeds can still be found and purchased. A conventional waterbed has a wooden frame. If you own a conventional queen sized waterbed, you will need to find sheets that are specifically designed for a waterbed. It may be difficult to find them in stores, now that there are soft-sided waterbeds. It would be a good idea to look online for conventional sheets. You can also check the sheets on display models for the name of the manufacturer.
The more modern version of waterbeds are soft-sided waterbeds. These have a special mattress that doesn't require a wooden frame. For many of these beds you can use sheets meant for a regular bed. It is important, though, that if you choose traditional sheets for your waterbed, that you get those marked "deep pocket". Deep pocket sheets are meant for the now popular pillow-top mattresses. A pillow top mattress is much thicker than older types of mattress. As a result, these mattresses will have tighter fitted sheets.
