If you want to have a bedroom that underscores the immensity of your thoughts, then you should not rule out the purchase a king size bedspread. A king flat sheet would not call into question the enormous reach of your thinking, but if you wanted to prove that your thoughts matched with the needs of the 21st Century then you might favor purchase of  a “greener” sort of bed cover.

You might want to use a bed cover that has a printed design on cotton percale. Maybe you would like to sleep under the warmth of a Sparrow Cover.

A Comparison of a Sparrow Cover and a King Bedspread

If you have ever used or looked at a “Field Guide to Birds,” then you can easily imagine the varied colors in the Sparrow Cover. The “Guide’s” pictures of different sparrows formed the basis of the drawings used on the Sparrow Cover. The makers of that cover put pigment of varied hues on cotton percale in order to create a duvet cover and sham, both of which are full of life and color.

That cover is sure to impress any biologist. It showcases both sparrows from different species and branches from different types of trees. It could leave you with the impression that the person who sleeps in that bed never needs an alarm. Your imagination might allow you to “hear” the pictured birds “singing” at the hour of dawn.

No one would feel ready to doubt the fact that the person who sleeps under that colorful cover appreciates the importance of saving the environment. A set of sheets, even those made with a natural fiber, could not send such a message.  A set of sheets would not call attention to your “21st Century thinking.”

What Floor Covering Goes with a King Bedspread?

If you believe the claim made in one furniture catalogue, the claim that “zebra stripes thrive in any setting,” then you would probably welcome the chance to put a Safari rug in the same room as a spread that can cover a king sized bed.. However, if you question the veracity of that claim, then you might want to consider a different sort of floor covering.

You might want to purchase and use a Patchwork Natural Fiber Rug. The makers of that Rug took jute fibers from the core of the jute plant. They braided that renewable material and wrapped it in squares. The rug maker then stitched those squares together. Because not every jute fiber has the same texture, each Patchwork Fiber Rug is unique.

If you cannot find online a satisfactory picture of a Patchwork Rug, or if you have difficulty imagining how one might feel underfoot, you can search for a source of a sample swatch.  An online shopper can request and examine such a swatch, before placing an order for one of these imported rugs.

If you happen to have in your linen closet, a set of king flat sheets, you might feel that they would complement the jute rug, more so then a Safari rug. Beyond such feelings, you would probably conduct an ultimately futile search, if you chose to look for the swatch from a Safari rug.
